As Loki, Tom Hiddleston has been consistent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since the first Thor movie, Hiddleston’s portrayed the God of Mischief in a way that changed how villains are perceived in a way that showed that the bad guys can be loved, hated, and also be your favorite part of the movie. Hiddleston did that with ease.
He was charming, intelligent, and entertaining whenever he was on screen. When he had to show emotion, you couldn’t help but feel what he was going through. Yelling at Odin about being lied to and lashing out when his mother died were two of his best moments. Proving that even the God of Lies has a heart.

You’re probably wondering why he’s ranked so low. Yes, nine is low for Loki. This isn’t about who the character is. It’s about the performance. Loki is definitely one of the five great characters in a comic book movie. Tom Hiddleston is also one of the better performers. Heck, he’s still top ten. However, his character slowly became less important the MCU as time passed, meaning we saw less of him while others improved.
Thankfully, Loki is coming to Disney Plus. This means we’ll have the opportunity to see more of the God of Mischief. And in a role that will affect Thor: Love and Thunder. It’ll be interesting to see what new things Tom Hiddleston will bring to the table.
