Marvel’s Tigra and Dazzler show put on hold due to showrunner exit
Showrunner, Erica Rivinoja, has been let go of Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show due to creative differences.
When it comes to creative oversight of a particular film or TV show it can go either one of two ways: Go big or go home. For the showrunner behind one of the quartet of adult-themed animated comedies the Tigra & Dazzler Show, Erica Rivinoja it is unfortunately the latter. Marvel has let Rivinoja and her writing staff go from the Hulu animated series, according to The Hollywood Reporter, due to – wait for it – creative differences.
That must be a hard pill to swallow considering this is the second series on Hulu from Marvel TV that has had trouble. Marvel had pulled the plug on a live-action Ghost Rider series starring Gabriel Luna (Agents of SHIELD, Terminator: Dark Fate) due to a similar creative impasse. While Marvel TV has other plans for Ghost Rider, Tigra & Dazzler has been put on hold until they can find a replacement, as Chelsea Handler and Jeph Loeb will remain as executive producers.
Sources that were close to Marvel have noted various outlines and scripts that were completed by the writing team under Rivinoja have been scrapped as the comic book publishing titan are now looking to assemble their own creative team to proceed with Tigra & Dazzler. This was 15 weeks into a planned 20-week production cycle.

Despite this, THR informed that the decision not only had nothing to do with neither the current restructuring of executives nor the promotion of Chief Creative Officer at Marvel, Kevin Feige. They also went on to state Marvel TV remain committed to Tigra & Dazzler.
While it remains to be seen as to what is the actual reason for the reconditioning of the property, Tigra & Dazzler are set to feature two best friends superheroes of the same name, who fight for acceptance and resolve in Los Angeles. It will lead to a string of other original animated series on Hulu; Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K and Hit-Monkey until they culminate in their own crossover show, The Offenders.
