Cheetah (aka Barbara Ann Minerva), has been revealed via merchandise for  Wonder Woman 1984.

At this year’s CCXP (Comic Con Experience) in São Paulo, Brazil, there have been a lot of surprises for promotions of pop culture including some for Wonder Woman 1984. ComicBook.com reported on new pieces of merchandise for the upcoming film, and one item gives the first real look at one of the antagonists, Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig.

First posted on Twitter, the merch in question is of a coffee mug that has been displayed at CCXP. It is of Barbara, who appeared and has not yet transformed into her feline alter-ego. She is displayed in a rough illustration and rendering of the actor’s likeness in a Cheetah patterned fur-coat and pants. This is the first step on the path to her becoming who is she is fated to be, as opposed to the very first set photo of Wiig in character that surfaced online.

When it comes to merchandise for a popular franchise, whether it be toys, books, games and apparel, they could spoil certain aspects of a film. In the case of WW84, obviously the advertising/marketing department at Warner Bros. Pictures is careful this time around about revealing plot points and the full appearance of Cheetah’s form to the public.

Sometime on  Sunday, Dec. 8, there will be a presentation from DC Films at the CCXP. Traditionally, Warner Bros. releases major trailers for their DC projects in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, but it looks like CCXP may take a lead on that front this year.
