Diana Prince returns in the first Wonder Woman 1984 trailer
The first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 has been unveiled, and Diana Prince is set to give fans another unforgettable adventure.
To refer to Wonder Woman as a triumph would be a wondrous understatement.
The 2017 film exceeded critical and financial expectations, smashed myths about how female-led superhero movies wouldn’t sell and steered the DCEU back to safety (after disappointing offerings in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad).
Though much of Warner Bros.’ big-screen shared universe of heroes remained in disarray, one thing was clear: Fans wanted more of Diana Prince. Thus, after being one of the few bright spots in Justice League, the character will now stand tall once more in her long-awaited solo film’s sequel Wonder Woman 1984. And after much anticipation, you can check out the first trailer here:
The trailer’s release follows that of a teaser trailer – one that was unveiled by the film’s star Gal Gadot – on social media. “Nothing good is born from evil,” Diana Prince told the audience in a somber voiceover – just as she was seen saving the day, deflecting bullets with her iconic bracelets and even swinging on a bolt of lightning.

The full trailer was officially unveiled at CCXP in Brazil this weekend by Gadot and director Patty Jenkins. And perhaps the most striking thing about Wonder Woman 1984 is its use of color, as the bright tones allow the footage – and, most importantly, the Wonder Woman outfit – to stand out. This makes a noticeable change from the understandably faded colors of the original (which gave it that period piece presentation), and the unbelievably grim filter on the modern-day DCEU installments.
Wonder Woman 1984 will feature the return of Gal Gadot as the titular hero and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, while also starring Kristen Wiig as the villainous Cheetah/Barbara Ann Minerva. Patty Jenkins is also returning to direct.
