Wonder Woman 3 and Amazon spin-off already planned out
Speaking at CCXP, Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins described future plans for a third Wonder Woman movie and a potential Amazon-set spin-off movie.
The Wonder Woman 1984 trailer is out, and it has fans excited to see Diana Prince back on screen. While fans will have to wait until early summer for Wonder Woman 1984, director Patty Jenkins already has Wonder Woman’s next story planned out.
Jenkins spoke to media (via Collider) at CCXP:
"“We actually already know the whole story to [Wonder Woman 3] and then some because there is an Amazon [spinoff] movie as well and so we already have it all mapped out. It’s just a matter of will we change our minds and when.”"
Obviously, with only a trailer released so far, there is no indication of where the story will go. There are questions that Wonder Woman 1984 still needs to answer before fans can start speculating on what will happen in a third Wonder Woman movie, especially Steve Trevor’s role and possible future in the franchise.

What is important is that Jenkins is clearly in the lead of everything Wonder Woman, and Warner Bros. has seemingly given her free rein to do whatever she wants, including what sounds like a spin-off movie set entirely in Themyscira.
Diana has not forgotten her time on Paradise Island, but she is still cut off from returning home. However, a spin-off movie may fill in the blanks on what the Amazons are doing while Diana is in the human world.
Hippolyta would most likely be the lead in the movie, with her leading the Amazons against an existential threat. What an Amazon spin-off movie could do is also have Hippolyta guide a young warrior in proxy to her daughter Diana. That young Amazonian could be Donna Troy or Cassie Sandsmark if they want to differentiate this continuity from Titans.
How Wonder Woman 1984 does at the box office will determine the future of a third movie and potential spin-off movies. The movie will hit theaters on June 5.
