New photos from the set of WandaVision reveal Monica Rambeau and SWORD.

Disney Plus is off to a great start. A large part is due to the incredibly popular Star Wars show, The Mandalorian, which features the lovable Baby Yoda. This popularity is going to help the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and She-Hulk. These three shows have been talked about and it seems that people are forgetting about their other projects. Chief among them is WandaVision.

WandaVision will star Elizabeth Olson as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision. We don’t know a lot, like why the promo picture looks like it’s from a 1950s sitcom or how Vision comes back from the dead. Comic book fans assume it’s due to Wanda’s Chaos Magic, but that’s just an assumption.

The show isn’t scheduled to premiere until 2021, but some exciting news has leaked. Photos from the set, via Just Jared, have shown Teyonah Parris as an adult Monica Rambeau. That’s not all. Screen Rant reports have come in that WandaVision will introduce S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department).

More from Marvel Cinematic Universe

We first saw Monica Rambeau as a child in this year’s Captain Marvel with her mother, Maria. The photos show Monica as an adult in a suit leaving a building with the word SWORD on the front of the door and on a security officer’s vest. It will make comic book fans happy that she will have her trademark big hair. Giving her straight hair would have been an insult to Monica Rambeau’s character, even if she’s had straight hair in the comics. It didn’t look right then, and it wouldn’t look right here.

It shouldn’t be shocking that SWORD is involved. We saw a glimpse of this coming at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. In the post-credits scene, Nick Fury was in space surrounded by Skrulls who appear to be working on the ship. Here’s a little theory for you. All of the guards that we see in the photos may be Skrulls. For all we know, SWORD could be an all Skrull intergalactic task force! THE “S” in SWORD may stand for Skrull.

Next. Black Widow: Be warned, this movie is going to be dark. dark

Little by little, the plot of WandaVision is coming together. The shots from the set don’t say much, but it’s enough to get people excited. This series will also give Wanda her Scarlet Witch codename. Who knows what else will come out next? But whatever it is, stay tuned here to find out.
