11. Colossus

As it was mentioned earlier, Colossus was important to Deadpool’s success. He did so by remaining the character he is in the comic books. They’re like The Odd Couple.

One of them can be looked at as the epitome of a hero and the other one is Deadpool. A cursing, killing, and cruel character (boom, alliteration). Not bringing him back would be a huge mistake. Especially since they’re now a family. It’s doubtful that Wade would stay in Xavier’s Mansion with the rest of the mutants. If he did, Wade would literally get kicked out before the first scene ends. Probably by Colossus.

You can’t just add another big naive guy in this spot and expect it to work. Colossus and Deadpool have chemistry. Two movies in and it’s gotten better as time went on. It wouldn’t make any sense to stop this now. It’ll be interesting to see what Wade makes Colossus do next. He’s made him swear, use… special soap, and fight dirty. This is only the beginning.

Whoever the next antagonist is, Colossus will have to take things up another notch. Who knows, maybe it’ll be Juggernaut again. Juggernaut is connected to Wade and Colossus, so bringing him back isn’t a bad idea – even if it were only brief. Certainly Juggernaut wants revenge for where the electrical wire was shoved.
