3. Storm

Who knew there was a link between Black Panther and the X-Men? Most people probably wouldn’t unless they started doing some digging. T’Challa and Storm started their relationship as children when Ororo came across the kidnapped Wakandan prince in Kenya, while she was traveling her mother’s homeland.

As adults, they fell in love, with the king getting down on bended knee. While the pair did get hitched, their union halted issues between the Avengers and the X-Men. However, it didn’t last very long. In fact, it lasted a whole six years but did not produce children.

The marriage hit rock bottom when war broke out between Wakanda and Atlantis during the time that Namor is possessed by the Phoenix Force upon their return to Earth. Things go from bad to worse when Storm chooses to side with her fellow X-Men when the Avengers are scattered and Captain America is forced to create a new team. This forces her husband to divorce her for opting to join a side he opposed.

This would be an amazing story to be adapted to the big screen, but things would need to be changed. One example of this would be Steve Rogers’s Captain America, who was involved in the original storyline. He could be swapped out for Sam since Rogers is now retired in the MCU.
