4. Agent Carter

Peggy Carter is one of the toughest characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She didn’t need a suit of armor or gamma radiated strength to be the hero that she is. What made her incredible was her intelligence and fearless personality.

In a time where women weren’t looked at as equals, Agent Carter was knocking down barriers and saving lives better than her male counterparts. When Howard Stark needed his name cleared, he went to Peggy to clear his name. Why? Because he knew she would be the one to get things done.

Peggy Carter had a terrific showing in Captain America: The First Avenger. Everything that made her standout in her debut carried over to her show. Since Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was doing so well, it was only right that they’d continue with the spy game genre and bring back her popular character.

Agent Carter was canceled after two seasons and it’s still befuddling. Agent Carter the character and show were popular. It’s a shame that Marvel Studios hasn’t done more with her. Maybe we’ll see more of Peggy Carter and her adventures with Steve Rogers from the past. Especially if people are still going back to it on Disney Plus.
