Marvel TV: Ranking all 13 Marvel Television shows from worst to best
By Mark Lynch
1. Daredevil
This was a Marvel TV show without equal. Everything that we loved about the shows mentioned before, Daredevil did better.
Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock was just aw inspiring. Since Matt’s blind, something as small as not looking people in the eye was a nice touch. It seemed like you’d constantly say, “It can’t get much worse for Matt” and then it would. We saw him go through moments like finding out who his mother was, breaking up with his business partner, and having to restrain himself when he wanted to kill. Somehow, he overcame. The writing team did a fantastic job of making him look flawed and strong. A balance that some shows don’t do.
The supporting cast was just as good. You couldn’t have picked a better person than Elden Henson to play Foggy Nelson. Jon Berthal’s role as the Punisher debuted here is the reason he had a show. Deborah Ann Woll had some…flawed moments, but, overall, she was a perfect Karen Page.
Meanwhile, Vincent D’Onofrio was flat-out legendary as Wilson Fisk. He was the best villain in a Marvel project, that’s including the movies. He was diabolical, yet caring. Ruthless, but gentle to Vanessa. An uncaring monster who loved his city.
Lastly, the action. Whoa boy. The hallway fight scenes were great as is. The first fight with Bullseye and Daredevil looked exactly like it did in the comics. It gave comic book fans goosebumps. He really did turn anything he touched into a weapon.
We could get into Daredevil not having any slumps during the season, the moments that gave us chills, made us laugh, and maybe even cry, but we’d be here all day. Long story not so short, this was THE best Marvel Comics show of all time. The Disney Plus shows may have a better budget, but they won’t be as good as Daredevil: The Man without Peer.
