The Flash brings major character back from the dead
The Flash’s latest episode was a lot more important that it initially seemed, as it resurrected a previously dead major character.
The second half of The Flash‘s sixth season has only just begun airing on our screens but, like the rest of the Arrowverse shows, it has already developed a whole new identity in the post-Crisis world.
No longer concerned with heading towards the inevitable destruction of The Flash, the show has now been more concerned with a somewhat more realistic storyline, as Iris West-Allen has been using her journalism experience to get to the bottom of the mystery behind the shady McCulloch Tech – which had been hiring the unnerving assassin Dr. Light (who works for the agency Black Hole) in order to take out any loose ends they may have had.
However, as this week’s episode played upon that heavily in what appeared to be more of a standalone adventure-of-the-week installment, it didn’t seem like anything particularly major was going to happen in it. And yet, that’s exactly what happened when we found out Iris was trapped in a mirror dimension while a more unnervingly risky version took her place.

However, the biggest shock of them all came when Harrison”Nash” Wells (Tom Cavanagh) – the last apparent remaining Harrison Wells on any earth – was briefly confronted by a more familiar-looking Wells wearing that traditional black outfit and those signature spectacles.
While it’s possible that this was the treacherous villain Eobard Thawne once again wearing the face of Wells – much like he did in Season 1 – fans are hoping that it’s actually Earth-2’s Harrison Wells a.k.a. Harry.
Introduced in Season 2, the Wells doppelganger became a fan-favorite as he and his daughter Jesse Quick assisted Team Flash multiple times throughout the show’s run, with Harry returning briefly in Season 3 and again full-time in Season 4. However, it appeared that the pair were no more because, after a pre-Crisis wave of antimatter destroyed Earth-2, Cisco Ramon confirmed that they had died (informing us all in last week’s offering).
With that in mind, could Harry actually have been alive this whole time? It would make sense that he’d attempt to intimidate Nash for freeing the Anti-Monitor from his cage because, even though he’s a hero, he’s notoriously grumpy. That said, it’s possible that he’s just a manifestation of guilt that Nash is feeling for kick-starting the Crisis. And, of course, perhaps it is the Reverse-Flash playing mind games with the last-known Wells in existence.
The Flash returns to The CW next Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Do you think Harry has returned? Or Is Eobard Thawne playing with us? Let us know in the comments below!
