Who should portray him?

As we touched upon on the previous page, Galactus needs to be portrayed by an actor with a huge screen presence and a penchant for playing formidable characters.

He’d also need a deep voice – although, like Vin Diesel playing Baby Groot, that could be manipulated easily enough – as Galactus needs to sound intimidating.

Someone like Bryan Cranston (pictured above with MCU stars Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor Johnson) would be great in the role. He possesses the kind of grandiosity required to play the mighty character – and you need look no further than his portrayal of Walter White in Breaking Bad to see that he can convey one of Galactus’ most important traits: the ability to justify even the most destructive of actions.

Liam Neeson would also be fantastic – just imagine that voice informing a global population that their planet is about to be divided! That famous threat from Taken delivered on a cosmic scale would be epic!

After a rocky start with some of its villains, in recent years the MCU has started to get them right, so we trust Marvel Studios to cast Galactus correctly – but the issue of casting has never reallyl been more important in the franchise than it would be when finding the right actor to play him, given the nature of the character.
