Supergirl’s 100th episode: Which characters should return?

Supergirl’s 100th episode, “It’s a Super Life”, airs this weekend. What characters from Supergirl’s past five seasons could we see for this monumental episode?

Supergirl has joined the elite group of Arrowverse shows that have at least 100 episodes. It seems like superhero shows, especially those from Greg Berlanti, are destined to hit this number, but that doesn’t take away from this achievement. While it seems like the norm, we’re very lucky to live in a world where so many of our favorite shows last as long as they do—especially at such great quality.

The CW’s OFFICIAL synopsis of Supergirl‘s 100th episode (Season 5, Episode 13), “It’s a Super Life”:

"THOMAS LENNON (“RENO 911”) GUEST STARS IN SUPERGIRL’S 100TH EPISODE – Mxyzptlk (guest star Thomas Lennon) returns with a proposition for Kara (Melissa Benoist) – what if she could go back in time and tell Lena (Katie McGrath) her secret before Lex did, would things turn out different? Looking back over key moments throughout the series, Kara must decide if she wants to change history to become friends with Lena again. Familiar faces return in this special episode."

As we can see from the official synopsis, characters are returning! While Mxyzptlk returns, it’s with a new face, as Thomas Lennon is bringing life to this role now. With the episode looking back at key moments over the last four and a half years and the official synopsis stating it, we’re bound for some awesome, guest appearances. A few appearances have been confirmed, with one such appearance being big one: Mon-El.

According to TVLine, Chris Woods will be joining in on the 100th episode fun, along with Odette Annable (Samantha Arias AKA Reign) and Sam Witwer (Ben Lockwood AKA Agent Liberty). Will we see more characters from the show’s past return? We’ll have to wait until Sunday to find out, but in the meantime, we can speculate.
