Marvel Comics: 5 Black Panther stories to check out
By Mark Lynch
2. Storm and T’Challa join the Fantastic Four
After the Superhero Civil War, Reed and Sue Richards had some things to work out. They were both on opposite sides of the war, which left them in an interesting spot. With this, they had to go off and see if their marriage could survive this conflict. The problem is this left a void in the Fantastic Four. Luckily, they knew the right people to fill in. T’Challa and Storm got the call and were more than happy to step in. T’Challa is almost as smart as Reed, and we know Storm has the same ferocity and power that Sue does. More importantly, they understand the concept of family, and the Fantastic Four are a family before they’re heroes and adventurers.

These particular runs of Fantastic Four and Black Panther were fun. In Black Panther, T’Challa, Ben Grimm, Storm, and Johnny Storm traveled to different universes and planets. They saw zombie versions of their friends and Skrulls who looked like historical black figures. The Fantastic Four run was intense. The team had to fight Galactus and his heralds and then take on the Frightful Four after they kidnapped Sue Richards. The run concluded with the team saving the universe.
These stories may not be in anyone’s top ten, but they’re absolutely worth checking out. The banter from T’Challa, Ben, and Johnny was entertaining. We also got a chance to see how incredible Storm is outside of the X-Men.
