Riverdale unveiled what really happened to Jughead in an episode that was full of moments that left our jaws well and truly dropped.

Riverdale‘s fourth season has been solely built around the mystery that left fans on-edge in the conclusion of the third season’s finale. Yes, you know the mystery that we’re talking about: The one revolving around the apparent demise of Jughead Jones.

The sleuth has been at the center of Riverdale since the very beginning, solving crime after crime and quickly becoming one of its most beloved characters, so it’s understandable that so many fans were left in complete shock at the possibility that he may truly have been killed off.

After teasing those fans all season with glimpses of the future, the show finally tackled that moment head-on in the previous episode, as Betty Cooper found herself standing over her boyfriend’s body with a bloody rock in her hand. And yes, just like that, it seemed that Jughead was dead.

After a week’s break, the show returned to screens this week in an episode that was more shocking than the rest of the season put together. With that in mind, let’s take a look at its most jaw-dropping moments.
