6. Betty Goes To See Evelyn Evernever

Fans know the volatile history between Betty Cooper and Evelyn Evernever, so it’s understandable that they were left floored when Betty contacted her former foe at the prison in the aftermath of Jughead’s death.

The pair’s reunion was anything but heartfelt, as Edgar Evernever’s daughter toyed with Riverdale’s Nancy Drew, making her doubt what she was capable of and, in the process, forcing us to do the same. But is a cell in Betty’s future? That is the ultimate question.

5. Archie Fights Bret

Spurred on by both rage for his fallen friend and the fact that Betty told him it would help their stories, Archie threw caution to the wind and marched his way to Stonewall Prep to confront the  so-called “Stonies” over everything that happened. And as soon as Bret Weston Wallis saw him coming, he knew he was in for it.

Though he tried to escape, the Stonewall menace wasn’t able to prevent Archie from entering his dorm room and laying the smack down with a couple of punches that really landed.

It might not have been the most sensible thing to do, but as always, Archie didn’t think with his head, he thought with his heart. And honestly, this time, who could blame him?
