Why would Sentry be so great in the MCU?

In addition to making for a potentially interesting live-action story, he’s one of the few characters in Marvel (who’s not an abstract cosmic entity) whose power dwarfs those of the existing characters in the MCU.

He’s effectively Marvel’s Superman (pictured above), but with a butt-load of additional powers on top of those possessed by the Man of Steel (and no specific weaknesses to Kryptonite or magic to boot).

So yeah, he’s super-strong, super-fast, super-durable and can fly, but he also possesses telepathy, astral projection abilities, teleportation, shapeshifting powers, molecular manipulation, energy manipulation, weather manipulation, light and darkness manipulation, soul manipulation, a regenerative healing factor, a death touch, the ability to detect auras, is functionally immortal and more!

If Marvel Studios is wanting to up the ante in terms of the level of power possessed by the MCU’s heroes, the Sentry is pretty much the only way they can go to outdo the likes of Thor, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch – which is why he’d be great to see on the big screen!

Of course, he also comes with that pesky aforementioned Void, which could become the MCU’s new big-bad!

We imagine you probably want to know more about the Void now…
