1. Jughead Is Alive
In what was undoubtedly the episode’s most shocking moment, the final act of “To Die For” revealed that Betty’s so-called affair with Archie was all merely a rouse to convince Donna that Jughead was dead and that “she’d moved on”. Yes, the Stonewall Prep girl tailed Betty to the woods only to discover her in the ‘sex bunker’ – but not with Jughead, with Archie instead. And yet it all worked out like Betty planned.
Not only did Archie return to Veronica’s loving arms, Betty returned to the bunker and into the arms of … yep, you guessed it: Forsythe Pendleton III himself: Jughead Jones.
It turns out that Jughead has been alive this whole time and that it’s all been part of some huge rouse to outsmart the Stonewall Prep crew… and, for the most part, it worked.
Right now, however, we can all sleep well knowing that our beloved Jughead Jones is alive and well.
