1. Poison Ivy

Voiced by: Lake Bell

As amazing as Harley Quinn was and will continue to be, this show just wouldn’t work without Poison Ivy. Ivy was the glue that held this show and the team together. She may not have been as goofy or funny as the rest of the cast, but that was the point. The show needed to have someone that could be the serious voice among a sea of nonsense. Ivy was that voice.

That’s not to say she wasn’t funny. Ivy had a plethora of moments where she added levity to a scene. Her humor was more sarcastic and dry than slapstick or in your face. It worked out. No matter what it’s called, it worked.

It’s rare that you get a character who’s more important than the star. When that happens they should be recognized. That’s one of the reasons that everyone should’ve known she wasn’t going to die during the season. She’s just too significant to the show’s success. You can’t throw another random character in her place and expect it to work. No one can replace her.

Lake Bell gave Poison Ivy a cynical voice that can’t be matched. It made her jokes that much funnier. When she said it would be funny if she ate Harley, it hit harder because of how she delivered the line. Kudos to her for bringing Poison Ivy to life the way she did.
