15. Batman

Voiced by: Diedrich Bader

It’s rare that there’s a DC Comics list in which Batman isn’t at least in the top three. Come on, he’s Batman. The fact that he isn’t there, however, should tell you just how incredible the rest of the characters are here. They beat Batman.

Don’t get things confused. He’s a terrific addition to the show. He was the brooding, crime fighting, sometimes emotionless vigilante we’ve come to love. The reason he’s ranked low is because he wasn’t anything that we didn’t expect.

One of the things that made each person great was the way they weren’t changed much. They were themselves dialed up to about eleven. Batman couldn’t be dialed up more. He had to be who he always was or this wouldn’t have worked. Granted, because of that, he could be ranked higher. Nonetheless, he wasn’t anything too special (a phrase never used when describing Batman).

Even the relationship with Joker was exactly what you’d expect it to be. Two guys who are essentially playing cat and mouse. Even after he caught him, he didn’t know what to do. The Dark Knight quote about a dog chasing a car is visualized and found true.

Batman’s best quality here was the added was jokes he was the brunt of from others. Like Harley Quinn saying that he has sex with actual bats. It never got old.
