12. Sy Borgman

Voiced by: Jason Alexander

You have to love shows like this. They can throw random and obscure characters out there and no one will bat an eye. The more absurd the better. In this case, you have Sy Borgman. Get it? He’s a cyborg! Yes, this is by far one of the cheesiest names since Lord Simultaneous in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but thankfully, it worked out. Otherwise this payoff would have fallen flat.

Sy started off as Poison Ivy’s weird landlord. It didn’t look like he was going to be more than just a side character and comic relief. He ends up being part of the group. An important one at that. He helps Harley’s gang save the day by turning into a souped-up station wagon with a bunch of weapons. There was also the storyline with his sister being a monster. It was weird, but a perfect B-story. However, there is one moment we’ll never forget. His transformation into the car looked painful. His screaming just made it more gruesome.

Jason Alexander did a bang up job voicing Sy. His voice and delivery meshed well with the character and the rest of the group. If you read him in the comics, it’s his voice you’ll hear as you read. Hopefully he’ll continue to be amazing in the next season.
