13. Tawny Young

Voiced by: Tisha Campbell-Martin

Tawny Young was a side character in Harley Quinn. She popped in and out throughout the season at random times as a talk show host. You’d never think that someone who didn’t have a lot of continuous screen time should be this good or important. But she was. Tawny added levity with a straight face. She took her job seriously despite all the absurd things going on. For Odin’s sake, she had a baby pre-puberty voiced Damian Wayne on the show and she called him a piece of sweet potato pie. It was just silly, but it was supposed to be. She’s essentially Jerry Springer for super-powered people.

Tawny gets my vote because she’s an essential character. She didn’t need a lot of screen time. Her interview with Damian Wayne, the show where Harley exposed Damian for being a liar, and the random times she popped up were well placed. Things like this helped the story move along smoothly.

Tisha Campbell-Martin was an unexpected pick, but a good one. She played the excited talk show host with a lot of enthusiasm. Considering the role, it makes sense. She should continue the role going forward. It’ll be hilarious seeing her report things in the rundown Gotham City.
