Harley Quinn: 10 characters we should see in season 2
By Mark Lynch
4. Black Canary
Black Canary isn’t just the beautiful singer we saw in Birds of Prey and while we did also see her show off those badass fighting skills, that doesn’t even scratch the surface of what she’s capable of.
In DC Comics, she’s kicked butt all over the world. She’s also renowned for her powerful, her sonic scream (a.k.a. the Canary Cry), but that may not be her deadliest weapon. Just ask anyone she’s ever kicked in the face!
Canary is another person who’d be willing to help the people in Gotham that didn’t die in all the chaos. Plus, we’ve already seen Batgirl. Add Black Canary and Huntress and you have the DC Comics Rebirth Birds of Prey.
Harley Quinn could just be the beginning. An extended animated universe is a novel idea. After all, DC’s animated shows are almost always better than their movies.
She’s appeared in Arrow, Birds of Prey, Young Justice and Justice League Unlimited, why not add Harley Quinn to the mix too for the Pretty Bird?
3. Amanda Waller
Imagine if after Harley Quinn saved the city in the final episode, Amanda Waller came out of nowhere, captured Harley and her gang and said, “Welcome to the Suicide Squad.” That would be a heck of a cliffhanger and the perfect ending to this season.
There’s no way the government turned a blind eye to everything that happened in Gotham. Especially everything that Harley did. For example, she held the city for ransom and had a highway named after her. The Joker destroying everything and Darkseid showing up (see the season 2 trailer) may have been the final straw. And who wouldn’t want to see a good Suicide Squad project?
Waller is a great character and her presence would add so much story potential to Harley Quinn‘s second season.
