4. Holland Roden

If you haven’t watched MTV’s Teen Wolf, the name Holland Roden might not ring a bell. If you have, then you’ll know this 33-year-old actress is more than capable of pulling off either side of Barbara Gordon.

For starters, she looks like Barbara ripped straight from the comics. On Teen Wolf she played Lydia Martin who started off as a bit of a socialite in a small town; she was the popular girl with an attitude who downplayed her own intellect. The character changes into something more as the series progresses giving way to Roden’s acting range.

However, Teen Wolf isn’t the only show where Roden showed off her acting chops. In 2017 she appeared in the Syfy series, Lore. In the anthology horror series, she played a real-life Irish dressmaker Bridget Clearly who must prove she’s not a fairy changeling.

The darker side of Barbara may fit Roden’s skills considering the roles she’s played in the past, or it would be a great change of pace to see her play someone a little less dark. It goes without saying that Roden could portray the heroic and flamboyant side of Barbara Gordon as well.

If they did cast Roden, it wouldn’t the first time DC tapped into the Teen Wolf pool for an actress. Crystal Reed portrayed Sofia Falcone in Gotham’s fourth season and starred in the short-lived DC Universe series Swamp Thing as Abby Arcane.
