Agents of SHIELD season 7 premiere date has now has been revealed.

The Agents of SHIELD season 7 premiere date has been set.

Viewers will see the final chapter of the series that started the TV portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begin to unfold on Wednesday, May 27 at 10 p.m. ET. Fittingly, this is also the show that ends the first era of the TV portion of the MCU, as the company of Marvel Television no longer exists.

This will be the third day and the sixth airtime slot in the show’s history, as it aired on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. (season 1), 9 p.m. (seasons 2-3) and 10 p.m. (season 4), respectively, before being moved to Fridays at 9 p.m. with season 5.

More from Marvel TV

In the season 6 finale, “New Life,” (6.13), Phil Coulson’s lookalike alien space double Sarge (Clark Gregg) was permanently killed as part of repelling a zombie invasion, and Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) perished of wounds caused by a swordfight in purgatory. It was a bizarre ending to an equally bizarre season.

Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) claims to not know where her husband Fitz (Iain De Caesticker) is, and the Zephyr-One has been turned into essentially a time-traveling TARDIS, which the Dr Who fan in Simmons must secretly be thrilled by.

Thanks to their ally Enoch (Joel Stoffer), a Coulson LMD was very reluctantly created to serve as Mack’s (Henry Simmons) assistant, as an expert in SHIELD history was needed to prevent the Chronicons from taking over the world.

Agents of SHIELD season 7 will again consist of 13 episodes, and filming was not affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic, as it started last July and wrapped up by early October.  It will feature even more time travel and guest appearances by Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) and Patrick Warburton (General Rick Stoner).

Though not much information is known at this point about what will occur, Gregg and Chloe Bennet (Daisy “Quake” Johnson) both leaked still images on their Instagram accounts over the weekend.
