5 Arrowverse spoilers: The Flash divorce, Batwoman’s new hero, more Lex in Supergirl
1. Tough times lie ahead for The Flash‘s Barry and Iris
It’s been something of a trying time for Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen. The Flash‘s core couple hasn’t exactly been on the same page as of late and there’s really quite a reasonable explanation for that: Iris isn’t actually Iris.
Eva McCulloch’s Iris-like reflective henchwoman has been hiding in plain sight while the real Iris has been trapped in a mirror dimension, leaving fans wondering how this will ultimately affect the WestAllen marriage. And it appears that it will have repercussions.
Speaking to TVLine, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace revealed:
"“Barry and Iris are, indeed, about to experience the rockiest month of their marriage so far… Where it ends and what happens as a result? Sorry, no spoilers here!”"
Frightful words for the WestAllen fam, but the synopsis of The Flash season 6’s upcoming seventeenth episode makes it sound that much worse as we’re told:
"HUGE CHANGES AHEAD FOR BARRY AND IRIS – After recent events, Barry (Grant Gustin) takes a closer look at his life with Iris (Candice Patton)."
The question is: Has the Scarlet Speedster finally figured out that the woman he’s sharing his life with isn’t actually his wife, or do these issues stem from Iris’ upset that her husband didn’t realize that the reflection was never her?
Fan have been concerned that a divorce is on the horizon for the long-fated lovers, but if any couple is capable of overcoming this, it’s Barry and Iris. Let’s just hope they find a way to do just that!
