4. Ben Hardy

If the DCEU wants to bring in an actor with some Academy Award cachet, Ben Hardy is the guy. Okay, perhaps this is a bit of an embellishment, but Hardy did co-star in the Academy Award-winning Bohemian Rhapsody as Queen’s drummer Roger Taylor. Rami Malek was the star, but Hardy made the most of every scene he was in. And he definitely brought the energy and coolness you’d want (and expect) to see from The Flash.

Aside from working his way onto the radar of the Academy, he’s already played a hero (sort of). Like another actor on this list, Hardy was in X-Men: Apocalypse. He was one of Apocalypse’s Horsemen – a group of mutants working hard to fulfill his mission. Hardy played Warren Worthington III: The metallic winged mutant known as Angel.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see him become a hero in the franchise, but he’s talented enough to bring a different type of Flash to life. The 5’10 actor looks like Barry Allen ripped straight from the comics. Sure, he’s talented enough to capture the characteristics Miller brought to Barry Allen but it’s been a  while since we saw The Flash on the big-screen, so he could take an already established Flash and make him feel unique with his own style.
