1. Lucas Till

Recycling heroes from one comic book movie in another isn’t completely unheard of. The most famous example of this was Ryan Reynolds – who made the jump from DC to Marvel, trading in the critically-reviled Green Lantern for the beloved Deadpool movies. If the DCEU wants a recognizable fan-favorite as it’s new Scarlet Speedster, why not pluck someone familiar with the responsibility of being a hero? Perhaps someone from Fox’s X-Men Universe… like Lucas Till.

The 29-year old actor played the mutant Havoc in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class. And the moment rumors began to surfaced about the future of The Flash film, Till’s name was the first that began popping up as a fan-favorite Flash – and for good reason.

Till is just a couple of years older than Miller, he’s 5’10 and, most important of all, he looks rather similar to some of the most famous comic book versions of Barry Allen. Aside from looks, however, he could he make his Flash feel unique and capture what Muschietti and company already had in mind.

Unlike Miller, however, Till isn’t as well-recognized for his talents. He’s enjoyed some success in supporting and leading roles on film and he’s a fan-favorite of television as he plays the lead role in CBS’ successful MacGyver reboot, but many still feel that he’s waiting for his big breakout role (on the big screen at least) to put him on the map. Since there’s a script written that undoubtedly has characteristics of Miller’s Flash throughout it, it would be very interesting to see what Till could bring to the role.

Andy Muschietti’s film could certainly take him to the next level, and Barry Allen is the perfect role to make him a household name. And given how great an actor he is, it’s what he deserves.
