2. Aquaman 2

In case you haven’t heard, these two heroes have a long history together. It’s a bond unlike any other. Aquaman is Clark Kent’s hero, literally (sorry Wonder Woman). Back when DC ‘s Extended Universe was in its infancy, Aquaman saved Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. It was a theory until Jason Mamoa gave us the hardcore truth in 2017.

"“[Zack]’s like, I had [Aquaman] save [Clark] so that they’d get to cross paths at one point so when Bruce goes, ‘You ever heard of Superman?’ I have and we have crossed paths.”"

Since Arthur seemingly saved Clark before he became the symbol of hope, it’s only fair if Superman return the favor. We don’t know much about the Aquaman sequel except it’s due for theatrical release in Dec. 2022. Momoa, however, has everything planned out, kind of.

The actor revealed to Esquire that he approached the DCEU big wigs with a mapped-out plan, and of course, they loved it.

Originally those plans probably didn’t include Superman. However, with the news of Henry Cavill’s return it’s not unfathomable to think Mamoa and returning director James Wan can make an exception.  It doesn’t have to be a major appearance, just a fly-by to repay the favor.
