4. Naomie Harris

Harris is a veteran actress and undoubtedly one of the biggest names on this list. The 43-year-old actress has several noteworthy films on her resumé, from horror 28 Days Later to action films like James Bond entries Skyfall and Spectre as well as 2018’s blockbuster Rampage. Still, it wasn’t until she starred in the cop drama, Black and Blue, that she truly got recognized for her elite talent, as she managed to elevate a decent film that wouldn’t have been all that engaging without her incredible performance.

Should Black Panther 2 introduce Storm as the future wife of T’Challa, Harris makes sense. She’d make for an older version of Storm who’s returned home to reclaim a title she never knew she had. This would be a version of Storm similar to Fox’s early depiction as one of, if not the leader of the X-Men.

However, we wouldn’t have to wait that long to see her play a Marvel character as she’s set to play Shriek in Venom: Let There Be Carnage which is due out next year.

3. Jodie Turner-Smith

There’s something about Storm that makes her feel like one of the – if not the – most important X-Men – which means a highly talented actress must play her.

If the MCU is looking for a captivating up-and-coming actress, they need look no further than Jodie Turner-Smith. She’s 33 years old and is only beginning to scratch the surface of her talents. Her most recent film, Queen and Slim, earned her critical praise for her portrayal as Queen in the racially charged crime drama.

The rising star also co-starred in the Last Ship and George R. R. Martin’s sci-fi adventure, Nightflyers. Turner-Smith is a rising star who’s next set to star in a war drama alongside Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan in Without Remorse.

Turner-Smith could actually end up portraying either version of Storm. She looks young enough to grow with the role as the young variation of Storm matures, and she’s also old enough to play a veteran mutant who’s looking to take leadership of the X-Men.
