Best: Scott Lang

If we ask most MCU fans who the best dad in the franchise was, most would probably name drop Scott Lang. We saw just as many scenes – if not more – of Lang being an awesome dad to young Cassie as we saw him being a butt kicking Ant Man. Even when he was on house arrest in the second film, he still went out of his way to come up with the most creative ways to put a smile on his kid’s face.

Worst: T’Chaka

This one was a tough one to place under the “Worst” section. On one hand, T’Chaka was a great father to T’Challa. A major reason why T’Challa made such a good Black Panther is because of the wise, caring guidance from his father.

On the other hand, T’Chaka was also a ruthless king whose decision to kill his brother and leave his nephew, Erik, behind without telling anyone just so happened to kickstart the entire conflict of the Black Panther film. Does being a terrible uncle and – arguably – terrible person balance out with being a good father? This won’t be the last time we’ll have to ask this question on this list.
