Rumor: Batman v Superman star to return to DCEU in The Flash
According to a new rumor, we could end up seeing this Batman v Superman star appear in The Flash, perhaps even as The Dark Knight himself.
The DC Extended Universe is still in a state of reinvention. The big-screen selection of DC Comics superheroes has been attempting to find its footing for the past five years and has only recently started doing so. And it will look to continue doing that when Andy Muschietti’s The Flash speeds into theaters on June 3, 2022.
However, according to a new rumor, it seems that another familiar DCEU face could be joining Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster in the film. Yes, The Cinema Spot is reporting that The Walking Dead‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in talks to reprise his role as Thomas Wayne.
Morgan portrayed the father of Bruce Wayne in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside his Walking Dead co-star Lauren Cohan, who portrayed Martha Wayne.

It was revealed a number of years ago that the upcoming film will tackle the legendary Flashpoint storyline from the comics – during which Barry Allen goes back in time to save his mother and, upon doing so, creates a brand new (and much more destructive) timeline. And one of the major changes was the fact that Bruce Wayne was killed, resulting in a murderous, vengeful Thomas Wayne becoming Batman to avenge the loss of his son.
Morgan’s name has always featured on Flashpoint fan-castings and that is one of the many reasons we were happy to see him cameo as Thomas in Batman v Superman. But could we see him finally become the resentful Dark Knight of the Flashpoint timeline in The Flash? Time (travel) will tell.
