These comic book characters should have been used in other comic book movies or TV shows.

It’s always funny when people discuss the notion of comic book movie fatigue because the genre has been around for decades and we’ve had over 20 years of consistent superhero movies, and the majority of people still aren’t tired of them yet.

These films have something for everyone: Action, comedy, romance, and a multitude of versatile characters. On that last note, there have been so many different heroes and villains that audiences can get lost within the movies they’re watching pretty easily.

However, there have also been a lot of missed opportunities along the way. Let’s take Eric Dane in X-Men: The Last Stand, for example. Eric Dane was portraying an immensely popular character in Grey’s Anatomy and he was very entertaining in a small amount of screen time as Multiple Man in X-Men: The Last Stand, but couldn’t they have found more to do with him?

You also have Ronan the Accuser in Guardians of the Galaxy. There’s no reason he should have been reduced to a one-off villain.

Unfortunately, things like this are going to happen in comic book movies particularly in Marvel movies because, for some reason, Marvel loves killing their characters for memorable moments. This is a trend that probably won’t end anytime soon.

Looking back, there are some characters that deserved more than what they were given. Not just characters. Some actors weren’t placed in proper roles. With that in mind, here are 13 character examples of times where actors and characters misused in comic book projects.
