Matt Reeves’ Batman franchise is expected to introduce a new version of The Joker eventually. Who could be our next Joker? Let’s take a few guesses.

As we all know by now, The Batman was one of many film productions this year which were impacted by the novel coronavirus pandemic. As a result, said production for Matt Reeves’ latest directorial effort has been postponed until further notice.

But fret not, as on the bright side, this gives Reeves extra time to fine-tune his script, plan out bigger action sequences and add some new character additions that could surprise fans. One of those additions could very well be The Joker.

A new rumor on the Tinseltown block suggests that there are already plans for Matt Reeves to introduce a brand new Joker in the sequel to The Batman. Which, on top of Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar-winning Joker potentially getting a sequel and the slim chance that Jack Nicholson could revive the 1989 version of the character as Michael Keaton will be doing the same, the world could be seeing three different cinematic universes with three different Jokers over the course of the next few years.

No one’s complaining about that, but that leaves us to wonder who will be playing The Joker for Matt Reeves when the time comes for it. Here are some possibilities …
