Stargirl season 1, episode 9 spoilers: Family drama as Barbara discovers Courtney’s JSA secret?
Is Courtney’s mother about to discover her and Pat’s Justice Society of America secret in the next episode of Stargirl?
Stargirl has become quite the superhero show in its short stint on the DC Universe so far.
With Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) becoming the Star-Spangled hero, she has assembled her own iteration of the Justice Society of America with the help of her stepfather Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson). But as it’s becoming increasingly clear, this isn’t a secret the pair can keep from their family forever.
There have been subtle but rising tensions between them and Courtney’s mother Barbara (Amy Smart) and Pat’s son Mike (Trae Romano) when it comes to Pat and Courtney’s newfound alliance, and it seems that the truth may finally come out in the upcoming episode.
What could inspire such a shocking revelation? Well, it might have something to do with the fact that the heroes have their hands full with Henry King Jr. (Jake Austin Walker). Speaking of Henry, his newfound powers could very well lead to him becoming Brainwave Jr.

What will happen in Stargirl season 1, episode 9?
As the trailer revealed, Courtney will attempt to recruit Henry as part of the next generation of the Justice Society of America. Ironically, she won’t be the only one as the Injustice Society now know he has the same powers as his father and, with Brainwave in a coma, they will attempt to recruit him to their cause.
With Henry’s history with Yolanda Montez (Yvette Monreal), he might be drawn to the side of good, but while attempting to recruit him using her Wildcat persona, it’s clear that she’s understandably harboring feelings of resentment towards her ex-boyfriend.

Elsewhere, Barbara just so happens to invite Jordan Mahkent (Neil Jackson) and his son Cameron (Hunter Sansone) over for dinner, unaware that the former is actually the ISA’s Icicle. While things should go swimmingly as long as no identities are revealed, it seems that this episode could bring forth major changes for the Dugan/Whitmore family.
A promo image from the upcoming episode reveals a rather shocked and upset looking Barbara standing in the family home’s cellar – the place where all of Pat’s previous JSA material and the Cosmic Staff reside. Is she finally about to uncover the truth about what her daughter and husband have been doing since they arrived in Blue Valley?
