Comic-Con 2020: The New Mutants panel, start date, live stream and more
The New Mutants will offer a virtual panel at this year’s first ever Comic-Con@Home, but before it does, here’s everything you need to know about it.
Unfortunately San Diego Comic-Con won’t be going ahead in its usual capacity this year. Due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the world has been brought to something of a standstill over the past few months and public conventions like Comic-Con have been cancelled.
However, that hasn’t stopped the-powers-that-be from SDCC delivering for fans with a host of virtual panels instead. And one property that will be making its presence felt at the first ever Comic-Con@Home is The New Mutants.

To say that The New Mutants is one of the most anticipated superhero movies of all time would probably be an understatement. That’s not because it’s based on a well-established superhero or because it promises to be an incredible film (though it does look like it will be one of those), but because the release date has been shifted around so much, we weren’t sure if it would ever see the light of day.
COVID-19 resulted in another delay, pushing the movie to August 28th, but it’s looking unlikely that this will happen. And, as a result, there has been speculation that the upcoming panel will either announce another new release date or see the-powers-that-be reveal that it will be released through on-demand/streaming services instead.
Not much else is known about the panel, but it will be hosted by Ira Madison III and consist of stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga, as well as director Josh Boone.
