HBO Max has added some incredible new additions to its line-up in August, including Batman, The Dark Knight and Birds of Prey.

With everything going on in the world right now, we all could use a bit more escapism. There are plenty of streaming services offering us that, but the newest of them, HBO Max, boasts an incredible line-up this month.

With a ton of new superhero films arriving this month, comic book fans are sure to have their fill. On that note, let’s find out what it has on offer!

Batman and more coming to HBO Max

If you’re a superhero fan, it doesn’t get any bigger than the Caped Crusader, so you’ll be happy to hear that HBO Max has added the original Batman quadrilogy of films. That’s right, Tim Burton’s classic Michael Keaton-starring Batman (1989) and its sequel Batman Returns (1992) have made their presence felt, alongside Joel Schumacher’s sequels Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997).

More from Batman

In more great news, you can also look out for two entries from Christopher Nolan’s iconic Dark Knight trilogy as Batman Begins (2005) and its groundbreaking sequel The Dark Knight (2008) have arrived as well.

Alongside those DC Classics, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) lands on August 16. Starring Margot Robbie, Ewan McGregor, Jurnee Smollet-Bell, Rosie Perez, Mary Elizabeth-Winstead and Ella Jay Basco, the film is the eighth installment in the DC Extended Universe and was released earlier this year to positive reviews.

Speaking of Harley Quinn, let’s move onto the TV department as the first two seasons of DC Universe’s critically-acclaimed animated series Harley Quinn are also now available on HBO Max, while the season finale of fellow DC Universe show Doom Patrol streams on August 6.
