Sabretooth

Sabretooth is Wolverine’s oldest enemy. He’s been part of Wolverine’s life longer than the two of them would care to remember – during which they’ve been trying to kill each other.

Logan almost succeeded, but he killed a clone (it’s always a clone). Sabretooth is so obsessed with Wolverine that he shows up on Logan’s birthday every year just to fight him. He goes out of his way to do this just because he’s evil. If that isn’t bad enough, Sabretooth has personally killed a lot of women that Logan loved – something that he reminds Logan of every chance he gets.

We haven’t seen a lot of long-lasting rivalries in comic book movies. With the exception of Magneto and the X-Men and Thor and Loki, most of them don’t make it past one or two films  – especially in the MCU, which is known for killing its villains before the movie ends. This shouldn’t have been the case with Sabretooth.

Despite people wanting new villains, Sabretooth could have been the exception. His depraved creativity would never get old. He and Logan could have had their own trilogy because he always finds new ways to make Logan’s life Hell. One time he targeted some of Logan’s loved ones, took his healing factor away, and baited him with his memories. Then there’s the time Sabretooth tricked Logan into helping him gain control of an underground crime syndicate.

Hopefully we’ll see these two rip each other apart on the big screen in the future.
