Creative uses of his ice

Throughout Iceman’s evolution, he has used his powers in astonishing ways. You’ve just read about his ice clones, but there’s so much more. In the X-Men movies, we didn’t get to see him use them much. In fact, it wasn’t until X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: The Official Game that he used his ice-slide. That’s disappointing because that’s something Bobby uses often throughout the comics.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we should expect to see ice-slides, a lot of ice-beams, and so much more.

Why is this important? Because it helps showcase Bobby’s creativity. If someone is constantly using their powers the same way, it will get stale. Wolverine may use his claws in all of his fights, but he finds new and creative ways to use them. The same can be said for Spider-Man and his webs and how Shuri uses vibranium. Iceman should use all sorts of shapes and weapons when he’s fighting. He can even become a giant. His Age of Apocalypse version has done it and Iceman from the 616 Universe did it once in X-Men No. 160.

Having Bobby do amazing things with his ice powers is just going to make him even more popular. Don’t be shocked when he does things he hasn’t even done in the comics yet.
