It goes without saying that Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The reboot centred on DC Comics’ most iconic superhero will see Robert Pattinson step into the role as he once again ushers in a new more grounded era for The Dark Knight.

The trailer was very much a teaser trailer – as the film is still in mid-production at the moment – but it did give us something of an insight into what we can expect from the film.

More from Batman

Not only did it show Pattinson as Bruce Wayne for the very first time, it also allowed us to see new footage of his Caped Crusader – footage that is really quite awe-inspiring. Moreover, it also gave us a glimpse of Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman.

The Batman was forced to shut down production in the UK following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. It is expected to resume shortly, but Warner Bros. is now building internal sets for the cast to film on instead of shooting on location.

Fans will undoubtedly be thrilled by the new footage, but this is only the beginning of the thrills that The Batman will unleash on fans as more will undoubtedly follow in the future.
