Ezra Miller opens up about his new comic-accurate suit in The Flash
The Flash star Ezra Miller has revealed what fans can expect from the Scarlet Speedster’s new suit in the upcoming DCEU movie.
There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the DCEU film The Flash but DC FanDome revealed that one of them is Barry Allen’s new suit.
The original panel confirmed that the Scarlet Speedster would be getting a new costume before giving us a glimpse of what it could potentially look like in concept art form (alongside some cool concept art of him teaming up with Michael Keaton’s Batman).
The star of the film, Ezra Miller, has since elaborated on that a little bit more, revealing what fans can expect from Barry Allen’s new threads.
What is The Flash’s new suit like?
Though he confirmed that he hasn’t actually seen the suit yet, he did hear some “extremely exciting” things about the costume. He then went onto reveal that it will be a “more traditional comic-based costume” in some ways, but that there will also be some “unconventional” changes to it – such as the fact that it will be more lightweight than his previous costume.

His original costume was crafted out of what looked like red plates to give it a very sharp, aerodynamic and metallic look. It did raise a lot of eyebrows at first and didn’t look as smooth as the versions on The CW series, but Miller really pulled it off.
Miller’s Scarlet Speedster has featured in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a minor capacity and made a cameo appearance in Suicide Squad before finally playing a pretty major role in Justice League. He would then go on to reprise the role in the Arrowverse’s Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover when he and Grant Gustin made history by having the two Scarlet Speedsters interact.
It’s going to be interesting to see how his suit looks whenever the film hits theaters on June 3, 2020.
