Justice League Dark (Vol. 2)

What do you get when you take Wonder Woman and throw her into the mystical side of the DC Universe. Well, the second volume of Justice League Dark is what you get and it’s incredible. The only currently-running series on this list, this is a series you should absolutely jump onto, especially if you’re interested in horror stories.

To be perfectly honest, there really isn’t any reason for this series to be as good as it is. Originally started by writer James Tynion IV and artist Alvaro Martinez Bueno the series has taken every bit of history within the mystical side of the DC universe and used it in interesting ways. They take already proven concepts such as Doctor Fate and even Wonder Woman herself and add new twists into their mythos in monstrous, but fun ways. Plus, there are some truly monstrous creations in here that just so wonderfully hideous.

Tynion left the series after issue No. 19 though and Ram V took over as writer. While that usually spells for a drastic change, that definitely has not been the case here. V took over the story that Tynion was telling and is running with it in great ways. This is definitely a series worth checking out.
