Eclipso is coming to DC’s Stargirl’s season 2 and there is no stopping him.

With DC FanDome now having shown its television panels, Geoff Johns has revealed what we could see with the upcoming Stargirl season 2. It’s been known since the season 1 finale of the former DC Universe show that Cindy Burman/Shiv (Meg DeLacy) finds a black diamond containing Eclipso. That’s all we know for now, but given where the show is headed, there is no doubt that things are going down a pretty dark path.

Isaac Bowin (Max Frantz) has already started down his villainous path towards becoming the new Fiddler. What’s more is we’re still unsure of where Cameron Mahkent (Hunter Sansone) and Artemis Crock (Stella Smith) sit in regards to their loyalties. It’s unknown currently whether they’ll discover or be told of who their parents are.

We know that Jordan/Icicle (Neil Jackson) didn’t want Cameron knowing who he and his grandparents truly were. However, there is every chance he’ll find out that his father is dead. While it’s hard to predict where he may end up, there may be a time where Eclipso corrupts the younger Mahkent due to his grief.

It’s possible Eclipso may even corrupt Yolanda (Yvette Montreal) given how she murdered Brainwave (Christopher James Baker) to avenge Henry (Jake Austin Walker).

However, Johns didn’t elaborate too much on how important Eclipso will be to the story. Though, he did tease the return of Solomon Grundy whom Rick (Cameron Gellman) spared at the end of last season. Though, there was no reference to the other teased villain, The Shade.

Finally, as to what Eclipso’s end goal will be or where his full allegiance will be is still up in the air. Just because Cindy freed him doesn’t mean he’ll serve her. For all we know, he could stab her in the back and do things on his own accord. He may even team up with The Shade. While we hope he doesn’t go all ‘Heart of Darkness’ on already neutral characters, something tells us that may be the case.
