The Batman who Laughs

The story of the Batman who Laughs is dark. In his universe, Batman killed Joker. However, in typical Joker fashion, he had a backup plan and his heart released a toxin that turned Batman into a Dark Knight with zero restraint – so much so that he killed Red Hood, Batgirl, Red Robin, and Nightwing because he knew they’d find out what he was going to do. Later, he killed the entire Justice League – something we knew he could do, but didn’t think he would ever be capable of.

The Batman who Laughs made his comic book debut in 2017. A brand new character but his story should be seen as well as read. A tale for fans who wondered what if Batman went off the deep end and showed everyone what he was really capable of. It’s more brutal than anyone could have imagined.

An animated movie based on The Batman Who Laughs wouldn’t be for everyone. It’s a horror story full of blood, betrayal, and the death of our favorite heroes. This is a Dark Knight that brutally killed everyone and everything he cared about. On top of killing all of the Justice League, it was Superman who got the worst end of everything. He gave Superman black kryptonite that drove him insane. It made him kill Lois and his son Jon and then it killed him.

The horror doesn’t stop there. This story led to The Batman who Laughs leaving his universe and bringing his terror to other Earths including the prime one – something that would be incredible to see in a Dark Nights: Metal movie.
