Victor Zsasz will make his Arrowvese debut as Gotham’s Alex Morf will bring the unpredictable killer to Batwoman season 2.

There are a lot of eyes on Batwoman season 2. The latest Arrowverse series enjoyed a successful debut season but, shortly after its conclusion, star Ruby Rose announced that she would be exiting the series ahead of the second season. And with that, Javicia Leslie was cast in the lead role, with her set to portray a new character named Ryan Wilder.

But every good hero needs a great villain and, much like its first season, Batwoman will be full of Gotham City’s most unnerving criminals. The newest arrival, however, is none other than the frightening Batman villain Victor Zsasz.

As revealed by Entertainment Weekly, actor Alex Morf will be portraying Zsasz on the show. Morf is no stranger to the streets of Gotham as he appeared on the Fox’s recently-concluded Batman prequel Gotham, playing a gang leader known as Sykes in the show’s final season. On that show, Zsasz was portrayed by Anthony Carrigan (who also appeared in the Arrowverse as The Mist on The Flash).

The villains keep coming for Batwoman season 2

The official character description describes Zsasz as being ″a charismatic, skilled hitman with high, unpredictable energy” who “proudly carves tally marks onto his skin for every victim he kills.” Strangely enough, this sounds like a mix between the comic book version and the Gotham reinvention.

But like we said, Zsasz isn’t the only villain making his presence felt on the show. Season 1’s Big Bad Alice will be returning as actress Rachel Skarsten is seemingly back in a full-time role, though we’re not quite sure how she’ll tie into the new Batwoman’s arc.

Moreover, Alice will also see some conflict with the character who is believed to be this season’s Big Bad, Safiyah (who will be portrayed by Shivaani Ghai) and she will also be joined by a henchwoman named Tatiana/The Whisper (Leah Gibson).

With those new additions, along with actor Nathan Owens who will portray the character of Ocean, Batwoman season 2 is building a crowded Gotham City and it’s going to be real interesting to see how it differentiates itself from the previous one.
