2. Head-popping court

In episode 1, we saw Susan Raynor’s head explode out of nowhere. It was the first moment of the season where it seemed very much like The Boys. A random moment of violence that makes the characters’ lives harder. There was no way they were going to get information that easily, but we didn’t expect for her brains to explode all over them.

We didn’t see anything like this happen again until episode 7. Again, just when The Boys thought things were looking up, things blew up in their faces (pun intended). Multiple people lost their heads including Jonah Vogelbaum. Vogelbaum was going to expose Vaught International and, as we saw, that didn’t happen.

1. The Love Sausage choke out

While trying to find information on the superhero hospital, M.M. Kimiko, and Frenchie were attempting to escape without being killed. Having to rely on a former member of The Seven (Lamplighter) was already a difficult situation. Add superpowered inmates to the equation and you have a nearly impossible scenario. Thankfully, they got out of the hospital. Not before M.M. was almost choked out by a… love sausage.

Love Sausage was a Russian hero in The Boys comics. On the show, he was a guy with a gentleman part that he could extend and control. This wasn’t something he could do in the comics. It was a moment that even comic book fans didn’t see coming. M.M. is lucky Kimiko was there to save him. No one (including M.M.) will ever forget this moment.
