WandaVision fan theories: Is Kathryn Hahn playing Agatha Harkness?

WandaVision will see several familiar faces return, including Kat Dennings, who plays Darcy in the first two Thor movies, and Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and The Wasp. The cast will also feature the second actress to play Monica Rambeau, albeit an older version, will be Teyonah Paris.

But its Bad Moms and Mrs. Fletcher star Kathyrn Hahn’s role that remains a mystery. There have only been a few glimpses of her in the trailer, and it’s anyone’s guess as to which character she will be bringing to life. In the promotional material, Hahn is seen wearing a witches costume and laughing hysterically after telling Vision that he is dead.

While it is not known for sure, a lot of people believe she will be playing the witch Agatha Harkness. This character has a significant encounter with Scarlet Witch in Westcoast Avengers #51, where she unveils the truth about why she and Vision’s twin boys keep disappearing. They are, in fact, not real, but were, in fact, manifested into being by Wanda’s powerful chaos magic resulting in them disappearing if she stops concentrating on them even for a moment.

Agatha Harkness has been known to manipulate and use Scarlet Witch for nefarious purposes, making her an ideal choice for the villain of the series. She can be incredibly powerful and could very well be the one that has trapped the Marvel power couple in this counterfeit reality. With the MCU moving in the horror direction this phase and the connection WandaVision have with the Doctor Strange sequel, this theory has a lot of merits.
