WandaVision fan theories: Scarlet Witch’s demon twins
There is no question that WandaVision will be much different than anything else the MCU has put out before, and one of the clear indicators is the time jumps seen throughout the promotional material. From the ’60s to the present day, it seems Scarlet Witch is in search of that perfect family life, but it may not just be with Vision.
There is a brief moment that many did not notice in the previews that could be a strong indicator at the arrival of two impactful Marvel characters but also some ill-known comic book demonic entities as well. In his moment, Wanda and Vision are standing over two cribs, and two pacifiers are thrown from them into the frame by unidentified babies.
In the Giant-Sized Avengers #4, the two Vision and Scarlet Witch are married. Eleven years later, in the conclusion of the 1985 Vision and The Scarlet Witch series, Wanda gives birth to twin boys Tommy and Billy. This leads into one of Marvel’s darkest storylines, and given the fact the Disney+ original series links top with the MCU’s first foray into horror, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness makes it all the more plausible for the show.
It turns out that the twins were just manifestations by Scarlet Witch, or so that’s what the Avenger was lead to believe by Agatha Harkness. The two boys were actually fragments of a demon named Mephisto who manipulated Master Pandemonium, who claimed its as his soul’s fragment first, into retrieving all the shards of his soul. Exploring the demonic world of Marvel for the next set of threats to warrant Earth’s Mightiest heroes to unite seems like an effective way to up the stakes after all the extraterrestrial evildoer, making this a solid WandaVision theory.
