Thor: Love and Thunder is bringing Star-Lord into its mix of personalities

Thor: Love and Thunder has just gotten a bit more crowded as a fan-favorite space captain is reportedly joining the film.
In a report from Deadline, Chris Pratt will once again be reprising his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Star-Lord in the fourth film of the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder. Pratt will be joining Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Christian Bale in the second Taika Waititi-directed installment of the franchise.
As of writing this, there is no information on whether any of the other members of the Guardians of the Galaxy will be appearing in Love and Thunder.
Star-Lord, and possibly other Guardians, appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder should really come as no shock to anyone who has seen Avengers: Endgame though. With Thor heading off with the Guardians and leaving Valkyrie as King of Asgard, it was very apparent that there would be crossover between the two franchises in a substantial way.

So, with Star-Lord making his way into the Thor franchise, it won’t be surprising if the god of thunder appears in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for at least a portion of it.
This isn’t the only MCU news to drop this week though as earlier in the week, WandaVision was revealed to be premiering in January which officially made 2020 the first year since 2009 that the MCU didn’t release something new.
On a more positive note though, the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder is currently in Australia in preparation for the shooting to begin and pre-production is well underway for the film. The film currently has a production start date in early 2021. Currently set for a release date of February 11, 2022, that date could still change with the uncertainty of theatrical release dates in upcoming months in the United States and around the world.
