Supergirl season 6 cast: Who is in for Supergirl’s final season?

Heading into the final season of Supergirl, we sadly do not have a lot of news as to who might be joining the mix or even returning for a swan song. But that isn’t stopping us from sharing who should definitely (and obviously) return to complete the story of Supergirl.

Melissa Benoist: Considering Melissa Benoist is Supergirl/Kara Danvers, there is no way she would be missing from the final season of her own series. Now it is just a matter of seeing how her story plays out.

Jon Cryer: Our Arrowverse Lex Luthor still has a story to tell, so of course Jon Cryer will be back to wreak havoc on Kara Danvers’s life. This also means that we can expect to see some dramatic confrontations between these two, which will be an epic way to end the series.

Katie McGrath: It really feels like you can’t have Supergirl without Lena Luthor. So of course, we are expecting to see Katie McGrath back in action once more. The only question I have is how will her story end? Will she continue on the path toward redeeming herself even with the last name Luthor or will she ultimately find that the dark path is the only option?

Chyler Leigh: Alex Danvers is another series regular that we expect to see more of in the final season. As Kara’s adopted sister, she is a big part of the series and that means that as things wrap up we can’t imagine Chyler Leigh not being at Supergirl’s side.

Other stars we expect to see more of include David Harewood, Jesse Rath, Nicole Maines, and Azie Tesfai. Of course, we also have our fingers crossed that we might get to see the return of a few past stars, such as Mehcad Brooks, who has portrayed James Olsen over the first five seasons, Calista Flockhart, who played Cat Grant, and maybe even Jeremy Jordon’s Winn Schott.
